Israeli soldiers kill Palestinian, claiming he stabbed officer

IOF soldiers Wednesday evening shot and killed a Palestinian man after claiming he stabbed an IOF officer in the neck at the Qalandia roadblock northwest of occupied Jerusalem.

Local sources said that Hamdi Sidki Al-Rajabi was martyred after the soldiers manning the infamous roadblock fired at him.

IOF sources said that Rajabi stabbed an officer before being shot, adding that the officer was carried to one of the hospitals in a serious condition.

Locals said that more than 50 soldiers sealed off the scene of the incident and prevented journalists and cameramen from approaching the barrier as the martyr's body remained laying on the ground for two hours.

The Qalandia barrier was established at the early start of the Aqsa intifada in late 2000 and later turned it into a permanent "border crossing" for Palestinians wishing to head from Ramallah to Jerusalem and vice versa. Soldiers manning the crossing are known for their spiteful treatment of Palestinian commuters.
