Israel Says It Kills Hamas Leader in Syria
Izzaddin Al Halil, a senior Hamas official, has been killed in a car blast in Syria, the Palestinian resistance movement confirmed Sunday.
Israel claimed responsibility for today's car bombing in Damascus.
The explosion took place in the Al Zahera neighborhood in Damascus, a Hamas spokesman confirmed.
It should be noted that in recent weeks, Israel threatened to target the Hamas leadership outside Palestine.
Al Halil was deported by Israel in 1992 to Marj a-Zuhur in Lebanon, and later refused to return.
